A truly magnificent fern with splendid crests and arching fronds, said to be the 'King of the British Ferns'. In time, to 1.2m tall. Very effective in a pot against a north facing wall. Semi-evergreen.

Meconopsis cambrica
Welsh poppies, should possibly be a true poppy or indeed the only true meconopsis. They will seed around and naturalise in shaded beds and always look refreshingly lovely. Maybe not for the tidiest of gardeners but suited to a more, how shall I say, informal and naturalistic approach! Mainly orange but you may get a yellow or red (Frances Perry).

A fine form with the pinnae fingered and spread. Quite robust, tends to be a bit more like a shuttlecock than Cristata.
